IBERICC Global Virtual Fair gathers 69 Portuguese and Spanish companies

Promoted under the Ibericc Global project, the Virtual Fair for Cultural and Creative Industries brought together more than 60 companies from Portugal and Spain. Between January 27th and 28th, participants in the project met, through a digital platform, to establish and identify new cooperation opportunities.

Market Access was the entity chosen to provide and manage the platform where the virtual fair took place. Throughout the preparation period for the virtual event, Market Access supported the project partners and participating companies.

Virtual Fair

The Virtual Fair of Cultural and Creative Industries was available to exhibitors – Ibericc Global partners – as well as to the general public. The initiative was part of the action plan of the Ibericc Global project to promote the internationalization of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) in the territories of Spain and Portugal, through the cooperation and implementation of new models and digital tools.

The virtual event was divided into three main activities: exhibition areas, B2B meetings and conferences.

The participating companies presented, through a personalized digital stand, their entity and the services/products they have to offer. In addition, B2B meetings were scheduled between participants in the Virtual Fair with the aim of generating new business opportunities and synergies.

The first day started with conferences and webinars on topics such as innovation, trends and perspectives after the pandemic and with the presentation of good practices in the CCI sector. The interaction between participating companies and entities took place during the afternoon of the first day and throughout the 28th of January in which more than 80 virtual meetings were held.

The initiative was promoted by eight public and private entities from cross-border territories of Spain and Portugal: A Coruña City Council (Galicia); Andalucía Emprende and Chamber of Commerce of Seville (Andalusia); Chamber of Commerce of Badajoz (Extremadura) and Fundación Santa María la Real (Castilla y León), Faro City Council, CIEBI Business Innovation Center and NERPOR Business Association, for Portugal.

IBERICC GLOBAL is a project financed through the ERDF Fund and the Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Program (POCTEP) Interreg VA.
