Market Access supported the Canadian Embassy in Portugal on their participation during Web Summit Lisbon 2019. This government agency gathered a group of 18 Canada based companies to participate on this year’s edition of the technology event.
During this participation, information sessions on the reality of the portuguese market were promoted. These culminated in approximately 70 B2B meetings with potential national and international clients, partners and entities. Multiple demonstrations of interest in exploring potencial synergies and investement opportunities resulted from these meetings.
Web Summit took place in Lisbon between November 4th and 7th of 2019. With more than 7000 participants and 2150 startups, Web Summit takes the place of today’s biggest and most important tech event. The speaker’s panel included famous personalities such as Guo Ping from Huawei, Brad Smith from Microsoft, Melanie Perkins from Canva, and Katherine Maher from Wikipedia.
