AEP, partner in the project INTERNOVAMARKET FOOD, organized an inverse mission with the Brazilian market from 17 to 19th june that counted on the support from Market Access.
Ricex Importação e Exportação, Sudambeef Trading S.A., Rotunda dos Vinhos and Supermercados BAHAMAS were the Brazilian importers that visited and met with SME companies from the Euroregion (North of Portugal and Galicia) from the agri-food sector. Wine, olive oil and olives, fish and seafood, cooked meats, cheese and dairy products were some of the products with most interest from the importers.
On the 17th many B2B meetings took place in AEP and on the 18th the importers visited some companies from the north of Portugal. On the 19th the group then went to Galicia, where a business round happened at Confederación de Empresarios de Pontevedra (CEP) facilities, which is also a partner in the project. At the end of the day there was a thematic session and closing dinner at AEP Foundation that included a presentation about the relations between Portugal and Galicia and a pleasant performance from the group Trio de Jazz.
In total there were 4 importers, 37 SME from the Euroregion, 37 B2B meetings, 21 visits to companies and 1935 kms traveled. Watch here a small video about the mission that includes testimonials from the importers.
The goal of initiatives like these is to enhance the internationalization of the participating companies of the project INTERNOVAMARKET FOOD, co-funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Program Interreg V-A España-Portugal (POCTEP) 2014-2020. The program aims to intensify the co-operation and to take advantage of synergies between the Galician and the North of Portugal experience.
