Invited by AEP – Associação Empresarial de Portugal, a delegation of 30 entrepreneurs from Japan, South Korea, China, and European markets, visited Portugal to get to know the best national offer in the Agri-Food, Home, Infrastructures (Water and Energy), and Construction Materials sectors.
On October 25th and 26th, 2022, the delegation participated in Portugal Premium Experience, an initiative promoted under the Next Challenge Asia project. The program of the visit took place in Vila Nova de Famalicão and Porto and included conferences on the project’s target sectors, product exhibitions, showcooking, visits to Portuguese companies and several networking moments between Portuguese entrepreneurs and the international delegation. The international delegation, composed of buyers, importers, distributors and opinion-makers, met with several Portuguese companies from the Agri-Food, Home, Infrastructure (Water and Energy), and Construction Material sectors.
Market Access has been supporting AEP in the development of various activities of the Next Challenge Asia project. In this action, the team of consultants from Market Access was responsible for the identification and invitation of relevant international players to join the international delegation, as well as the organization of the entire program of activities and the local monitoring of the committee throughout the initiative.
For 2023, three promotional actions are planned in Japan, South Korea, and China, with the goal of showing the potential of the project’s target-sectors, with the participation of experts, chefs, architects, designers, creatives, and artists.
Designed for micro, small and medium enterprises, the Next Challenge Asia project aims to guide companies that export or want to start their expansion to the Japanese, South Korean and Chinese markets. The project began in 2020 and has already promoted numerous activities, including workshops/webinars, market guides and digital tools to support SME’s internationalization.
