Ecotrophelia – the competition that distinguishes young innovators

The 3rd edition of ECOTROPHELIA Portugal, an initiative promoted by PortugalFoods that challenges university students to create innovative and environmentally friendly agribusiness products registered 20 proposals, but only 10 were considered “the most innovative”

The 10 finalists were announced on 15th and the award ceremony took place on 21st may at the conference centre of Alfândega do Porto.

Market Acces, besides being a partner of the project, was represented by its CEO Rui Sousa who participated on the panel of  judges.

Salmar, a canned salmon marinated in glasswort, a producted developed by a group of students from the Institute of Accounting and Administration of Porto was the big winner. They’ll have the opportunity to compete, on a European level, at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, world’s leading trade fair of the food and beverage industry.
